Dermal Facial Fillers
Facial Fillers Botox & Juvederm Injections Beverly Hills | Las Vegas
Facial dermal fillers are injectable treatments for aesthetic facial rejuvenation. These include botulinum toxin such as Botox® and soft tissue fillers such as Juvederm® and Restylane®. These nonsurgical procedures are an effective bridge for patients who show some signs of aging but are not ready or need cosmetic surgical procedures.
Dermal fillers may be selected for patients of almost any age who can benefit from additional facial volume augmentation (soft tissue fillers). Also patients who have underwent facial aesthetic surgery can have their results further enhanced by adjunctive injectable facial treatments.
Unlike cosmetic surgery, injectables provide only temporary results and can be repeated periodically.
Benefits of Non-Surgical Dermal Fillers
One of the primary benefits is that treatments such as Botox and most dermal fillers require virtually no downtime or very little recovery. In addition, the risks associated with dermal fillers are generally less than those associated with surgery. Cost may be initially modest compared to a surgical procedure, but patients should remember that repeat treatments can become expensive over time.
Time to Perform Injectable Procedures – Generally 10 to 45 minutes.
Anesthesia – Usually local anesthesia or topical numbing agent; seldom needed for Botox.
Recovery – Although there may be temporary bruising, swelling or redness, patients can generally return to normal activities immediately or within a few hours following treatment.

Neurotoxin Facial Treatments
Facial aging can be improved with use of neurotoxins such as BOTOX®, Dysport®, and XEOMIN®. These agents have been intially used to treat a variety of symptoms such as chronic headaches and muscle spasms. Subsequently, they were introducted for cosmetic treatments since they temporarily block nerve receptors in the muscles of the face. As a result, they can erase fine facial lines and wrinkles.
Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are product names for botulinum toxin. In the last couple of decades, they have become increasingly popular for non-surgical cosmetic improvement.
Wrinkles such as crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead creases are usually caused by repeated muscle contraction associalted with facial expressions. The action of neurotoxin is well targeted to the specific muscles that control facial expressions, and surrounding muscles are not impacted.
Hyaluronic Acid-Based Fillers
Restylane®, Juvederm® and an another dozen of popular hyaluronic acid fillers are commonly injected by cosmetic providers.
Laugh lines, crow’s feet, horizontal and vertical forehead creases as well as other facial wrinkles and folds can cause you to look older and less vibrant than you feel. The cheeks, chin, laugh lines, marionette folds, and the jawline can be augmented. These areas of the face, when properly treated with fillers smooth wrinkles, enhance the fullness of the cheeks, lips, etc. . . . restoring a vibrant and youthful general appearance.
Results are immediately visible and the downtime is minimal if any.
