Dr. Fodor offers Vaser Assisted Lipoplasty in Beverly Hills and surrounding areas of California.
Ultrasound delivered internally via the solid, grooved probe with the, “Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance” or VASER device., is an effective method of pre-treating fatty deposits for lipoplasty or liposuction. VASER, also known as Vaser Assisted Lipoplasty (VAL) is a technology that requires significantly reduced levels of ultrasonic power for fat fragmentation than other, earlier technology, ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) devices. UAL devices are very different from VASER technology.
Dr. Fodor contributed significantly to the development of VASER technology. In Dr. Fodor’s first set of pilot patient studies using VASER, he found that specific complications reported in the literature with standard ultrasound techniques including sensory changes, burns, and prolonged swelling (and others) were non-existent in the VASER group.
Actually, the VASER device incorporates technologic advances in the production and delivery of ultrasound energy aimed for fat tissue fragmentation as compared to traditional UAL devices. Specifically in the pilot study Dr. Fodor conducted, the outcomes of 77 lipoplasty patients were found to compare very favorably to results reported with the use of other traditional UAL devices. VASER technology has been found to reduce complications and improve lipoplasty patient outcomes.
Because VASER differs so significantly from earlier devices and techniques used for traditional UAL and as such, it is now known as “VAL” to differentiate it from earlier UAL techniques and devices.
The cost for VASER will vary depending on the severity of your case and techniques used. At your consultation Dr. Fodor will be happy discuss your options and cost based on your needs.
